A visit to Poggio Rubino Estate is an extraordinary journey, like no other, into the world of an exceptional Brunello.
It’s our aim to provide you with an authentic, approachable and delightful experience in the Montalcino environment and, of course, you’ll become familiar with our elegant wines, created through meticulous and careful farming practices in the vineyard.
You will experience our family’s hospitality as we take you through the tasting experience and we welcome you, as a new member to the Poggio Rubino’s Family.
All of our wines and olive oil are estate grown, produced and bottled.
Begin your experience with a guided tour that includes a visit to the Vinification and ageing cellars with an explanation of our winemaking process, after which you will be able to enjoy a seated tasting and comparing of Estate wines, paired with artisan cheese and cold cuts.
You can enjoy also a private seat in the tasting room, from which you can admire the gorgeous view overlooking the valley, surrounded by trees and vineyards up to Tyrrhenian sea, with a three-course light lunch prepared by Roberta who will present you a farm-to-table meal paired with our wines and our extra virgin olive oil.
The tastings bring fond memories and forgotten stories back to the table. We are pleased to share our candid appraisals of our wines!
TOUR AND WINE TASTING
Visit of the winery explaning the whole process of Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino production.
To follow: wine tasting of Poggio Rubino’s wines, a Rosso di Montalcino, a Brunello di Montalcino a Brunello di Montalcino Selection or a Brunello di Montalcino Reserve, a Rosè sparkling and a taste of Brandy of Brunello, moreover you will be able to taste our Extra virgin olive oils and vinegars as well, paired with typical Tuscan apetizers.
TOUR AND RUSTIC LIGHT LUNCH
Visit of the Winery explaining the whole process of Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino production.
The wine, EVO and vinegar tasting will follow the winery tour all through our Light Lunch which is made up by a typical Tuscan appetizers, some of which prepared with fresh vegetables from our kitchen garden, hand made ‘pici’ pasta dressed with our wild boar sauce or aglione sauce and a home made cookie or cake.
